Application Process
Impact100 Greater Sacramento awards grants to nonprofits in our community that address the focus areas stipulated in our Eligibility Criteria.
Applications are now closed for 2024.
In 2023 Impact100 Greater Sacramento awarded $100,000 grants to two nonprofits in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer and Yolo Counties. How does it work? All nonprofits are asked to apply under one of five focus areas
- Health and Wellness
- Arts and Culture
- Education
- Environment or
- Family
Once the application process closes, our five focus teams review the applications. The teams will reach out to you as they narrow down the applications. Site visits will be conducted for the final three in each focus area.
The five finalists – one from each focus area – will be announced in September.
In October, representatives from each finalists will speak to the chapter membership at our Annual Celebration and Voting Event. Voting will take place that evening. If you have any questions, email info@
All stages of the grant review process are conducted entirely by current members of Impact100 Greater Sacramento.
Focus Areas
Arts & Culture
Cultural programs, participation in the arts, arts education.
Environment
Conservation and preservation of natural resources; environmental justice; parks and recreation; agricultural sustainability; environmental education and climate action.
Health & Wellness
Improvement of people’s mental and/or physical well-being.
Education
Educational opportunities for children and/or adults, especially those that address lingering educational disparities affecting our community.
Family
Strengthening and enhancing the lives of children and families, including seniors.
The Grants Committee ultimately selects FIVE finalists to compete for the $100,000 grant at our Annual Meeting.
Eligibility Requirements
- Defined as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Organizations serving the counties in the Greater Sacramento area
- In possession of at least three full years (36 months) of independently prepared, audited, or reviewed financial statements

Each organization may submit only one grant application per year and must address the Focus Area described in the criteria.
